Tondowski Films, established in 2011, is an independent production house based in Germany and a global producer of documentaries, films and TV series. At Tondowski Films, we are driven by a passion for storytelling that thrives on the unique, the bold, and the honest, underscored by a filmmaking process that is both fair and profoundly human. We craft empowering and impactful narratives, often through a distinctively strong female perspective.

In 2023, we deepened our roots by relocating our main office to the serene countryside near Berlin, integrating our love for film with the tranquillity of nature. This space not only serves as a creative hub but also hosts seminars and screenings, embodying our dedication to community and cultural exchange.

Alex Tondowski
Alexandre Tondowski began his career in the 1980s as a stage actor in Paris, London and New York. After moving to Los Ange es, he was involved in many films, series and commercials before moving back to Europe. In 2011 he and his wife, Ira Tondowski, founded Tondowski Films with the goal of supporting visionary directors in their projects. They produced together the award wining documentaries SONG FROM THE FOREST (2013) and BORN IN EVIN (2019) among others. He is a father of three children. Today he works as a producer in Havelland and in Berlin.
Ira Tondowski
Ira Tondowski is an award winning producer, writer and director with 20 years dedicated to realizing good storytelling in film. She co-founded German based production company Tondowski Films and produced award wining and widely distributed documentaries, such as SONG FROM THE FOREST and BORN IN EVIN as well as the fiction film AVA.
Ira Tondowski works also as tutor and teaches script development and documentary filmmaking.
